Ukraine vs USA Friendly Dual View Photo Link The Iowa City Area Sports Commission hosted a friendly dual between Ukraine and USA on December 18, 2025 in Coralville, Iowa at Xtream Arena. Two high school girls wrestling duals preceded the main event (Iowa City High vs Washington and Iowa City High vs Iowa City West). The Sports Commission partnered with the Coralville Food Pantry by having all spectators bring a non-perishable food item as admission. #WeGotNext

2026 Soldier Salute View 2026 Photo Link The Iowa City Area Sports Commission hosted the fourth annual Soldier Salute wrestling tournament on January 3-4, 2026 in Coralville, Iowa at Xtream Arena. Our community welcomed 19 collegiate men’s wrestling teams to the tournament. Missouri Men were crowned Soldier Salute 2026 champions. #WeGotNext

The 3A Tournament will be hosted at Saddleback Ridge Golf Course in Solon and the 4A Tournament will be hosted at Pleasant Valley Golf Course in Iowa City. Armbruster Open – May 9th – 11th @ Campus Recreation and Wellness Center The David Armbruster Open is an event designed to provide an early-season opportunity for athletes to swim in Long Course (50-meter) events and acquire times that they can later use to qualify to compete in other Long Course events throughout the summer. The Armbruster Open attracts teams and athletes from across the State of Iowa and other surrounding Midwest states.
