Ashton Cross-Country Course
The Ashton Cross Country Course is the home of training and competition for the The University of Iowa men’s and women’s cross country squads. The course boasts a rolling terrain with an outstanding rhythm for running. Course features include a 2,000-meter perimeter and a layout that allows spectators to view the entire race, from start to finish, from one vantage point.
Bob Pearl Softball Field
Pearl Field, the home field of Iowa’s softball program, was dedicated on October 2, 1999, in honor of the late Robert L. Pearl, who was one of the first African-American baseball players at the University of Iowa and a longtime supporter of Hawkeye softball. It includes pro-style sunken dugouts, 500 permanent seats, and total grandstand capacity of 1,500.
Brown Deer Golf Club

Coralville Creekside Cross
Completed in 2017, the course hosts races, organized training events, and riders of all kinds any other time it is open. Open July 1 through winter, until spring thaw begins!
Duane Banks Baseball Field
The facility was name in honor of the Hawkeyes’ former head coach in 2001. Banks, the winningest coach in Iowa history, served as Iowa’s head baseball coach from 1970-1997. The 3,000-seat stadium has dimensions of 329 feet down the lines, 375 in the power alleys and 295 to center field. The complex at Banks Field features locker rooms for both teams and umpires and a press box.
Finkbine Golf Course
Named after W.O. Finkbine, who donated the land to the University of Iowa, this scenic 18-hole golf course and driving range spreads out over 200 acres of rolling Iowa terrain and open to the public. Finkbine Golf Course is owned by the University of Iowa’s Athletic Department and is home to the University of Iowa Men’s and Women’s collegiate golf teams.
GreenState Family Fieldhouse
GreenState Family Fieldhouse is a 5-court 53,000 square foot facility attached to Xtream Arena in Coralville’s Iowa River Landing. The fieldhouse hosts a variety of youth and adult sports, tournaments, community recreation programming, leagues, meetings, and other events.
Hancher Auditorium
Hancher is a multidisciplinary performing arts presenter committed to connecting artists and audiences with transformational artistic experiences. Since 1972 Hancher has been the cultural hub of the University of Iowa campus presenting world-class dance, music, and theater.
Hawkeye Tennis & Recreation Complex
The HTRC houses eight indoor and 12 outdoor tennis courts, 6,000 square feet of fitness space, two indoor turf fields, locker rooms and the Outdoor Rental Center. The outdoor courts are named the Klotz Tennis courts, named after former Men’s Tennis Coach, Don Klotz.
Sugar Bottom
One of the premier mountain biking destinations in Iowa is located in the midst of hardwood forest along the Coralville Lake, just north of Iowa City, and between North Liberty and Solon. The Sugar Bottom mountain bike trail system, in the Sugar Bottom Recreation Area, includes roughly 12 miles and 1,400 climbing feet of outstanding hand-built trails.
Woodpecker Single Track
This urban single track is a newer addition to the cycling amenities in Johnson County. Starting at the Tom Harken Trailhead, the trails meander and flow through a wooded area along Clear Creek.
Xtream Arena
Xtream Arena is located in Coralville’s Iowa River Landing District just seconds away from Interstate 80. The 5,100 fixed-seat (6,600 concert capacity) arena serves as a highly accessible and most importantly right sized venue for concerts, family shows, and special events.
