Introducing the Iowa City Area Sports Commission’s Playmaker of the Month, Cole Davis! Once a month, we will be highlighting our sports community members during a time of year they work closely with our team. Cole has been involved with the program for almost two years! He began as an intern in college and grew to be a full-time employee upon graduation. This past weekend, the best competitors in the state competed at the Iowa 7 v 7 Football State Tournament in Tiffin. Over 40 teams and 1,500 attendees visited our community for this event. The organizations features 10u, 12u, 14u, 15u, and 18u divisions. We look forward to adding more 7v7 Football events to our lineup in the future! Missouri Valley Conference Announces Future Sites for Its Women’s Basketball Championship The Missouri Valley Conference has announced future sites for the MVC Women’s Basketball Championships. The three-year rotation includes Ford Center in Evansville, Ind. (2025); Xtream Arena in Coralville, Iowa (2026); and Vibrant Arena at The MARK in Moline, Ill. (2027). The event will take place in Coralville March 12th – 15th, 2026. The Iowa City Area Sports Commission could not be more excited to host this exciting championship in our community! View Press Release
